Bunker starts his show career with a BANG! At 6 months, 1 week he earned his first point opposite his dam, Monroe and in just over 6 months he completed his championship all from the BBE Class. With an indoor show as a warm up, we headed to Midwest LRC of Iowa where he was Winner's Dog under breeder/judge Nancy Brandow from BBE Puppy, and the next day Winner's Dog/Best of Winners/Best BBE under breeder/judge Kim Jacobson from BBE puppy, as well as Best in Sweepstakes under Lenore Severni. His dam was RWB both days as well.
On his first birthday weekend, wearing his summer suit, he picked up another Best In Sweepstakes under Dianne Mullikin and RWD both specialty shows under breeder/judges Jill DiGesare and Stephanie Harris and just over a month later he finished with a fourth major under breeder/judge Shari Kirshner at Travis County KC, going RWD the day prior under breeder/judge Sherry Anderson. Bunker is the sixth dog in my breeding program to finish exclusively from the BBE class, and the youngest champion to date at just 13 months.
He passed his Alliance of Therapy Dogs test and is an active member of the DFW Airport K9 Crew, earning his THDN title in just a few months. He finished his GCH in fall of 2025 with two BOSS wins at HOTLRC in November, followed by two BISS and one BOSS win at DFWLRC in early December. He also finished his RN title at DFWLRC, as well has earning his Working Certificate a few weeks prior so he was one of six recipients of the DFWLRC Dog For All Reasons award, along with his dam and littersister.
My keeper from his first litter here at LegaSea is following in his pawprints-- LegaSea's Paparazzi, 'Flash' won the BBE Puppy class at her first two specialties (SSLLRC), then aged up and won the BBE adult class at SMLRC, HOTLRC and DFWLRC, earning majors at both HOTRLC and DFWLRC as well as a Best in Sweepstakes at HOTLRC.
Bunker will be working on his retrieving and obedience and will be back as a special in 2026.
